Scholarship to study MBBS
Marma Rural Municipality will provide a scholarship to an outstanding student for studying MBBS. The policy and program for the coming fiscal year 2079/80 brought by the village municipality on Friday include the plan to provide Rs. 1 million as a scholarship to the student annually.
The policy and programs presented by the Rural Municipality’s Chairman Jaman Singh Dhami have the plan to provide the scholarship to an outstanding student of the community school within the Rural municipality and the student is also a resident of the same municipality.
The municipality is also planning to upgrade the Latinath Health Post by constructing a hospital and adding 10 beds, giving it the proper form of a hospital. The policy states that the construction will be completed within 2 years. The hospital after its construction will strengthen its facilities like a laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and dental services. The municipality has also adopted the policy to provide mobile services with health experts.
50 percent cost will be born of the students who study MBBS and BE
The Duhu Municipality will provide 50 percent amount of the total cost for each student studying MBBS and BE. This will be applicable to the students passing the SEE from the community school of the Rural Municipality and has passed the entrance exam.
Chairman Narendra Bahadur Badel of the Rural Municipality has that the policy program has been brought to provide half of the amount of the course to each student and this will be applicable to the students who have studied at the community school of the municipality and passed the entrance exam.
The rural municipality has also brought in the policy to not take any fees from the students studying from classes 1 to 10. The village municipality has decided to deduct the fees from the students saying that the school has been collecting money from the students in the name of various fees. In the policy and program of the coming fiscal year 2079/80, village Chairman Badel mentioned that the fee has been completely stopped.
