91 Schools Completely Damaged in Jajarkot Earthquake

The Jajarkot earthquake, which came last Friday night with 6.4 magnitude has completely damaged 91 schools. In the earthquake, 366 classrooms, 43 toilets, and 11 computer (ICT) classrooms of 91 schools were completely damaged.

Similarly, the local police informed that one library, seven school fences, and four solar systems were completely damaged. Also, 476 classrooms of 122 schools in the district have been partially damaged and 35 toilets have been partially damaged.

One teacher and 11 students died in the earthquake in Jajarkot, while two teachers and 20 students were injured. The police said that more details are coming as the work of data collection is going on.

In total 157 people died in Jajarkot and Rukum West in the earthquake with 246 people injured.
