EDUCATION NEWS IN NEPAL
A group of German students have arrived in Katari of Udayapur to study the condition of Nepal’s forests. The students are from 17 different countries and are studying at the postgraduate level at the World School of Forestry in Germany.
Students to study forests under government’s supervision:
The students will be studying the forests in Katari under the supervision of the Agriculture and Forestry University of Nepal according to Anirudh Kumar Sah, Chief Division Forest Officer of Division Forest Office, Katari. They will also be studying all aspects of forestry, including the condition of Nepal’s forests, data collection, and forest management said, Officer Sah.
Study for three weeks:
The students will be studying in Katari for three weeks. During this time, they will be learning about forests in the world and sharing their own knowledge and experiences.
In collaboration with the Division Forest Office Gaighat, the Division Forest Office Katari has suggested two community forests in this region for further examination.
