Agriculture and Forestry University Calls for Safe Student Relocation

The Chitwan-based Agriculture and Forestry University has called the government and concerned bodies to relocate the university students gone to Israel under the ‘Agricultural study programme’.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the Office of the Registrar at the university called upon the Office of the Prime Minister, the Home Ministry, the Education Ministry, the Foreign Ministry, and the Nepali Embassy in Israel to take immediate steps to transfer the students to a more secure location.

The press release disclosed that a total of 113 students from the university went to Israel in 2023, with six having participated in the program in 2022. “Based on the information available to us, we can confirm that all of our students are safe,” the press release affirmed.

Furthermore, the university stated that it was maintaining regular communication with the students, advising them to remain alert and follow safety protocols. The university also expressed its criticisms of the attacks on Israel.
