Overview

The Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) program enables future educators to be prepared for establishing a high-achieving community for all children. The Bachelor of Education is an excellent option for students interested in pursuing a career in education. . The curriculum prepares undergraduates for a career as a primary or secondary school teacher by facilitating them with the necessary skills. There are 22 subjects in total, including major English, major Nepali, educational psychology, philosophical and sociological foundations of education, and so on. Students can focus on one primary subject throughout the duration of ten courses. Political science education, economics education, geography education, population education, health, and physical education, science education, and other specializations are available to students.

Course Duration in Nepal

The duration of a Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.) course in Nepal varies depending on the university. For instance, Tribhuvan University‘s B.Ed. the degree takes a duration of four years to graduate, whereas Purbanchal University’s B.Ed. the program takes at least three years to pass out.

Admission Eligibility

Students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education must have the following requirements:

  • The student who wants to peruse in B.Ed. must complete 12 years of mandatory schooling.
  • Students should have obtained at least 50% marks at graduation level.
  • Candidates are required to take the B. Ed admission exam.
  • A student needs to complete a +2 level or proficiency certificate from one of the Tribhuvan University (TU) and Pokhara University (PU) approved boards is required.
  • This program is available to applicants from all the fields like; (science, management, and humanities).
  • In most colleges, there has been no age limit for B.Ed. admissions.
  • Candidates are required to take the B. Ed admission exam.

Scholarship

Scholarships are given out on the basis of merit in colleges and universities. Almost all schools and universities offer scholarships to students who excel academically from their previous results. These scholarships solely pay the cost of tuition. Detailed information can be obtained by contacting the particular university/college administration a pupil wants to visit.

Fee

The cost of pursuing a bachelor’s university degree has not been disclosed yet, however in Nepal,  it is estimated to be in the range of NRs. 300,000 to Rs. 400,000.
