Climbing Season Starts; 16 climbers reach Myagdi to scale Mt Dhaulagiri.

A team of 13 foreign climbers have arrived in Mudi of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4 as the mountaineering season has started. They are to leave for Mt Dhaulagiri (8167 m) climbing expedition.

According to Indra Singh Sherchan, a tourism entrepreneur, 13 people from different countries have come to Myagdi for climbing the mountain through a trekking organization called Imaging Nepal. “This is a good sign for the beginning of the climbing season,” Sherchan said

Even though Mt Dhaulagiri is connected to the border of Raghuganga village municipality and Mustang district, the direct route for the climbers is to reach the base camp is through Mudi and surrounding areas. Even if you reach the mountains from the neighbouring district of Mustang, there is an easy and beautiful route to reach the base camp via West Myagdi.

The mountaineering sector of Nepal, which was very affected by corona, has started bustling with climbers. Dhaulagiri in Myagdi has become the choice of mountaineers.
