Leaders of the ruling party are meeting to discuss issues and consensus about the United States Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
The meeting is scheduled to be held at 5 pm today with the Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, said Govinda Pariyar, Press Chief of the Prime Minister. The meeting, to be held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar, will be attended by leaders of the ruling party Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal and Rastriya Janamorcha.
The meeting will discuss for forming a common position to table the proposal related to MCC on February 18. Although the government was preparing to table the proposal in Wednesday’s meeting of the parliament, it was not tabled due to lack of consensus among the ruling parties.
