While visiting the Gorkhapatra Press at Kohalpur for inspection on Sunday, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has said that the publication of the Kohalpur edition of Gorkhapatra would help people of Western Nepal to access the government.
Karki said that the attention of the ministry has been drawn to well equip and facilitate Gorkhapatra. Despite the challenges for accessibility of the newspaper in the hills and mountains of the west, he is confident Gorkhapatra will be available in all these regions.
This is the age of information and technology, said Minister Karki. The data centre was being set up in Kohalpur to store information as the use of information technology is increasing everywhere.
This would be the first data centre to be set up outside Bagmati Province, Minister Karki said. The government has the policy to build data centres in all seven provinces, he added.
