Gandaki University currently provides only Bachelor programs for the following:
- Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)
- Bachelor in Sports Management (BSM)
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharmacy)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Bachelor of Art Bachelor of Law (BALLB)
Admissions
Criteria for admission in different programs provided by Gandaki University are discussed below:
Bachelor of Information Technology
The applicants must present their documents of SEE and +2 or equivalent degree with at least second division (above 50%) or 2.0 CGPA or C+ Grade in any discipline. The applicants should provide documents from the institutions recognized by Gandaki University. All the applicants of Nepal must undergo a competitive entrance examination to get admission in this field. The entrance examination will evaluate students through Multiple-Choice questions, the questions can be of the syllabus of SEE and +2 level of subjects of Mathematics, English, Science, and IQ (Basics of Information Technology/ Computer Science).
Bachelor in Sports Management
The applicants must present the documents of SEE and +2 or equivalent degree with at least a Second Division (above 45%) or 1.6 CGPA or D Grade in any discipline. The applicants should provide documents from the institutions recognised by Gandaki University. All applicants must undergo an entrance examination. The entrance examination will evaluate students through Multiple Choice questions, these questions are based on the syllabus of SEE and +2 courses like Mathematics, English, IQ (Games and sports), and IQ (Health and Physical Education).
Bachelor of Pharmacy
All applicants who have passed the common Entrance Exam Conducted by the Medical Education Commission (MEC) and are nominated for the B Pharmacy program are eligible to get admission to the University after the match-up.
Bachelor of Business Administration
The applicant must present the documents of SEE and +2 or equivalent degree with at least Second division or 1.8 CGPA or D+ grade in every subject of grades 11 and 12. The applicants should provide documents from the institutions recognised by Gandaki University. All applicants must undergo a written examination “Comprehensive Management Admission Test”, and the applicants are evaluated and selected from the admission test.
Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Law
The applicants must present the documents of SEE and +2 or equivalent degree with at least of Second Division or 2.4 CGPA or C+ Grades in any discipline from a recognized board. The applicants should provide documents from the institutions recognised by Gandaki University. All applicants must undergo an entrance examination conducted by Gandaki University “BALLB Admission Test”. The applicants must achieve at least 40 marks out of 100 to be within the selection pool. The test question will be in Multiple Choice format and will be based on SEE and +2 or equivalent Courses.
Other important documents required for admission after the selection process are:
- Citizenship for Nepalese Students and Passport Foreign Students
- Transcripts and Certificates of SEE and 10+2 Level Or Equivalent Documents
- Certificates of Equivalence (for Foreign Degree holders)
- Passport Size Photos
- Certificates related to quotas or claims (if Any )
- Original Copy of Migration Certificate
Where is Gandaki University Located?
The Administrative building of Gandaki University is located in Mustang Chowk, Pokhara. The building for the BIT program is located in Mahendrapool, Pokhara and the building for BBA and BALLAB is at Damside, Pokhara.
