Government Declared October 2 as National Education Day
Date: [28th Jestha,2080]
Overview:
In a significant move, the government has officially designated October 2 as National Education Day. The decision, taken during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, will be implemented starting this year.
The Council of Ministers, led by Government Spokesperson and Communications Minister Rekha Sharma, made the exciting announcement about the National Education Day. Going forward, this special day will be celebrated every year on October 2. “We are thrilled to inform you that our education day will now be on October 2,” spokeswoman Sharma enthusiastically shared.
Previously, Education Day had been celebrated on February 12 since the year 2031. However, due to recent changes in the academic calendar, International Literacy Day was moved to September 8. Consequently, the government decided to align the National Education Day with the date of the promulgation of the Compulsory and Free Education Act, which took place in 2075.
