Icefall Doctors reached Base Camp

Solukhumbu. Icefall doctors have reached the base camp to pave the route for mountaineers to the summit of Mt. Everest.

The team of 8 is led by Angsarki Sherpa who has been engaging in the route construction for more than 30 years. On March 12, the team had left Namche for the base camp and the team will start their work paying homage and setting the auspicious hour with a Lama in the Pangboche Monastery.

The climbing route the team carves will be between Base Camp and Base Camp 2, this route passes over deep and dangerous crevasses for climbing Mt. Everest, Mt. Nupste and Mt. Lhoste. These highly skilled icefall doctors make routes for climbers by fixing ropes and aluminium ladders.
