Prior to the launch, many areas in Badigad had no mobile connectivity for over 82 kilometers from the Baglung headquarters. The lack of mobile services had made it difficult for the locals to communicate. The launch of 3G mobile services in the area has provided connectivity to residents, who were previously forced to go to nearby villages and Bhimgithe Bazaar for cellular signals.
Krishna Gurung, the Chairman of the Badigad Rural Municipality, said that the lack of mobile services had caused many issues for the locals. Senior Engineer and Office In-Charge of Ntc Baglung, Keshav Sharma, said that the company started 2G and 3G services in the area and has plans to upgrade to 4G in the future.
Ntc has remained at the forefront of 4G expansion and upgradation throughout the country and has prioritized service expansion over profits in recent years. The company has over 62 lakh users on its 3G network and 4G subscriptions have surpassed 1.21 crore.
In Conclusion, The launch of Ntc’s 3G mobile services in Badigad has brought much-needed connectivity to areas that were previously without any mobile service. With the tower built on Bhitreni Hill, locals can now enjoy quality voice and data services on their mobile devices.
