Ministry for Health and Population, Birodh Khatiwada has announced to make Nepal Free from Tuberculosis. National-wide campaigns will be launched to implement the policy within the given span of time for the Tuberculosis Free Nepal.
On Thursday, Minister Khatiwada recalled the commitments of the Government of Nepal for the implementation of various strategies taken by WHO (World Health Organisations) and different forums of the UN.
Speaking at the programme on the occasion of World TB Day, Minister Khatiwada said the TB Free Nepal delegation campaign would be implemented in all 753 local levels by the National TB Control Centre with the support of the Health Ministry which will contribute to the implementation of additional policies and programmes.
Khatiwada emphasised the delivery of quality services for the eradication of TB and the empowerment of TB patients. He added that the government has prioritized eradicating TB in Nepal and is running different programmes at the community level through integrated health services.
