Local Election:
District Administrative Offices (DAOs) have been instructed to not approve deputation and leave of employees working in the district. Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed the CDO offices all over Nepal to not approve leaves of employees working in the districts with exception of emergencies due to the nearing dates of Local Level Elections.
Joint Secretary and Spokesperson for the Ministry Phadindra Mani Pokhrel said that they have instructed the concerned office employees not to provide any leave until the election ends except in an emergency situation at a meeting with all the CDOs.
Pokhrel said MoHA has summoned a meeting of all district heads and directed the CDOs to relay the messages to their employees. Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand chaired the meeting of the Central Security Committee on March 24 which took the decision to stop granting any type of leaves to its employees targeting the upcoming local elections on May 13.
