Introduction

Pokhara University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pokhara has made an announcement by publishing a notice in regards to the Admission which has been Opened for those willing to study in the Doctor of Philosophy (P.hD.) in Development Studies which has been conducted by the Pokhara University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for the academic session 2079 B.S.

The announcement was brought up on August 11, 2022.

Key Information

Qualification

A minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 or higher 2nd division of 55% assigned with Two years of working experience.
One year of working experience assigned with the Master’s degree of 3.00/4.00 CGPA or higher 1st division.
No working experience is needed for those scoring 3.75/4.00 CGPA or Distinction.
Students have to have a minimum of 3.3 CGP in assignments with Ph.D. proposal for registration to Ph.D.
- (Note: If there is no minimum score of CGP 3.3 in the assignment or have not completed the proposal for doctoral in less than mentioned deadline, granting that, the credit which has been completed can be shifted to the M.Phil degree. In order to attain M.Phil degree, one can register 9 credit dissertation.)

Personal Interview Date, Time & Venue:- September 12, 2022, from 1 PM onwards at PU, Academic Complex

Admission period:- September 14, 2022 – September 20, 2022

Research synopsis of 2,000 to 3,000 words (in the specified format) in the Statement of Purpose (SOP) that is no more than one page long and addresses Ph.D. study and professional goals.
For candidates who are already employed, a Curriculum Vitae (CV), Letters of recommendation, and a No Objection Letter from their current employer.
