The Standard Language Test, PTE used to be a comparatively new name for Nepali students until a decade ago but it has become most popular. In these recent days, the number of PTE test takers have surged so much so that there aren’t any exam seats available in the country until July’s end.
Each month nearly 6,000 students appear for PTE Examination through four test centres PTE has in the country, each test centre is operating six exam sessions per day, said Premila Paulraj, Director of Employability and Qualifications of South Asia from Pearson UK. Paulraj opines that PTE could be the Ultimate English Language Testing Method preference of Nepalese very soon.
Paulraj claims, PTE is more student-friendly unlike other tests and still maintains the standard of examination at its best.
Only ten days ago, Pearson established a new testing centre in Nepal. Paulraj and her colleagues at Pearson are planning to increase capacity in Nepal and thus are in constant touch, they are also hoping to establish another test centre within a couple of months.
