Share

The documents issued by Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), Dean’s Office concern the implementation and revision of the Scholarship Guidelines (2079). The official letter states that the updated scholarship directive has been approved and should be implemented accordingly across constituent campuses, central departments, and affiliated colleges.

The guidelines outline the types of scholarships, eligibility criteria, quotas, and administrative procedures. They define merit-based scholarships for students with outstanding academic performance and free-ship scholarships for students from government/community schools and disadvantaged groups, including women, Janajati, Madhesi, Dalit, persons with disabilities, remote-area residents, Muslim, Tharu, and martyr families.

The directive specifies quota distribution, documentation requirements, continuation rules, and institutional responsibilities. It also requires campuses to publish scholarship details, verify eligibility, and submit records to the Dean’s Office. The amendment document further clarifies eligibility conditions and selection procedures to ensure fairness, transparency, and inclusive access to higher education opportunities.
