The decision to close the schools until January 15 was made by the Birgunj Metropolitan City at the request of the Education Committee. The severe cold weather has also affected normal life in Parsa, with an increase in the number of patients seeking medical attention for common colds, coughs, fever, and respiratory problems. Narayani Hospital in Birgunj has been receiving around 30-35 patients with cold symptoms every day. The cold weather has led to a decrease in the movement of people in the district headquarters and other market areas, as well as a decrease in the number of visitors to government offices.
