TIA immigration office requests Tourists to Cash to Pay On Arrival Visa Fee

Nepal Immigration Office released a notice requesting all Foreign travellers to carry foreign currency equivalent to US$ 200 to pay for the on-arrival visa fees. Tourists nowadays pay through electronic modes of payment like Visa cards, Master cards and others at their arrival.

TIA currently has only one ATM available, and the machine is ever crowded and has been facing several technical difficulties. This has left the tourists stranded in the immigration for a long time.

The number of tourists in Nepal is increasing as the day passes by, but they are facing problems as they are not able to pay for the entry permit. Thus, Nepal Immigration urges tourists to carry foreign currency for their convenience and to get rid of the difficulty caused by e-banking payments.
