EDUCATION NEWS IN NEPAL
The Institute of Engineering Studies (IOE) entrance exam for Bachelor’s level (B.E/B.Arch) started today after being stopped for a long time due to a fee dispute. The dispute was resolved with the disturbing parties, and the exam will now be held from the 14th of Kartik today to the 19th of Kartik at two locations: the Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC) in Pulchok Lalitpur and the Western Campus in Pokhara.
9,900 Students Participating in Exam:
Nine thousand 900 students are participating in the entrance exam, which is a computer-based exam with a duration of two hours. In this exam, Examinees have to answer 60 questions of one mark and 40 questions of two marks. For every wrong answer, 10 percent marks will be deducted. The result will be declared on Kartik 21, two days after the end of the exam.
New Fee Structure:
IOE has resolved the fee dispute and fixed a new fee of Rs 56,700 for regular students and Rs 4,90,000 for paid students with a four-year graduate-level bond.
IOE’s Educational Programs:
Currently, IOE is conducting a dozen educational programs including civil, architecture, computer, aerospace, and electrical engineering. Similarly, five affiliated and 10 affiliated colleges are operating under IOE.
