Everyone is excited for the New Year 2079 and the domestic tourists have started their preparations for the celebration. The hotels are getting booked and the rooms are filling out fast, especially in the hotel of the destination sites like Pokhara, Bandipur, Chitwan, Kathmandu, Dhulikhel, Sukute, and Nagarkot are getting filled with domestic tourists.
Only a few days are left till the new year and around 80 percent of the hotels are already booked stated HAN (Hotel Association of Nepal). According to Sajan Shakya, General Secretary of HAN, the number of people booking hotels and planes in advance is significant. Tickets for most tourist destinations are almost booked, this shows the signs of growth in not only the tourism business but the tourism industry as a whole.
The Business owners are excited about the flow of tourists after the two-year stagnation in the business. The Hotel Association has also organised different programs in the tourist destinations aiming to attract tourists.
In the last few months, the number of international tourists entering Nepal has also been increasing. Due to both domestic and international tourists, the hotels have 60 percent more business than the previous year. The number of tourists indicates that the tourism industry is going back to its track like in the days before Covid struck and kept the entire industry on hold. The tourism business is hopeful that the business and the industry itself with gradually flourish in the coming days.
