Australia to Re-Open Boarders

“If you’re double vaccinated, we look forward to welcoming you back,” said Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Australia has closed borders to the world since March 2020 for foreigners and has maintained the strictest border policy throughout the Global Pandemic. At times, Australia has even prevented people in Australia to leave the country.

The country has only been letting students and skilled migrants enter the borders since December 2021, however, all these policies have come to an end as Australia now opens borders for the vaccinated. Mr. Morrison said, to enter Australia the travelers need to provide proof of vaccination. “That’s the rule. Everyone is expected to abide by it,” he said.

Unvaccinated travelers who have a medical reason for not being vaccinated will need to apply for a travel exemption. If the exemption is permitted, they will be required to quarantine at a hotel.
