What is Bachelor in Business Administration?

BBA or Bachelor in Business Administration is a 4 Year full-time course offered by the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University. BBA Course Fee Structure

Is CMAT (Entrance Exam) Required for BBA?

Yes. Students studying BBA under Tribhuvan University and its affiliated colleges must undertake CMAT Examination. CMAT or Central Management Aptitude Test is a compulsory entrance test for all who wish to join the BBA program at Tribhuvan University. CMAT is conducted every year by TU after the grade 12 results are published.

Admission Eligibility

For admission to TU BBA Program, the candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

Ø  Candidates joining the BBA course must have completed their +2 education or an equivalent course from any university, board, or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.

Ø  Candidates must have a minimum of D+ grade in every subject of Grade 11 and 12, and a CGPA of 1.8 or more. Or the candidates must have a least of the second division in their +2, PCL or equivalent degree.

Ø  Candidates must fulfil all the application procedures as prescribed by the Faculty of Management, TU.

The eligible candidates must give CMAT conducted by Tribhuvan University to get admitted to the University/ Colleges affiliated with the University. CMAT test is an aptitude test for the candidates applying for the BBA program. It is a 90-minute 100-mark test, the test will consist of 100 multiple choice questions in 4 sections focusing on 4 subject matters. The 4 focused subject-matter are:

–          Verbal Ability (English)
–          Quantitative Ability (Mathematics)
–          Logical Reasoning  (IQ)
–          General Awareness

Candidates must attain at least 40% in their CMAT test to qualify for the admission interview.

Merit list:
At last, with all other qualifications, students will be shortlisted for admission based on the Merit list. The merit list constitutes of the following:

2.       30% Grades of 10+2 or equivalent
3.       10% Interview Assessment

Computer System and Information Technology Application will provide fundamental knowledge of computers and their operation and application in the business world. Principles of Management will teach the students basic management knowledge and skills that will enhance their managerial capabilities. Business Mathematics I will introduce students to the mathematical techniques of Business and their application to economics and business concepts.

Salary of BBA Graduates

The salary of a BBA Graduate may vary depending on their position and the organisation they are working for. Initially, the salary of a freshman BBA graduate can be around Rs. 15,000 a month and can go up to Rs. 35,000 a month as per their organization. In Nepal, the salary of a BBA graduate can go up to Rs. 80,000 as per their position and experience. One will get remuneration according to their work position.

Is BBA better than BBM?

BBA and BBM courses are quite similar but both BBA and BBM courses have features that differentiate them. The specialization courses provided in BBA and the courses provided in BBM are quite different but both courses are strong and competent on their own.
