Education Minister, Paudel signed the CPF

The (CPF) Country Program Framework has been signed by Education, Science, and Technology Minister Devendra Paudel. In the international nuclear energy program in Austria, he has approved the Country Program Framework (CPF) for 2022 to 2027.

Nepal will avail of technological assistance from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IERA) following the signing, in areas such as radiation safety, nuclear safety, agriculture, and health.

It will also support nutrition, drinking water, environment, energy, and industry growth and development. It will also help to establish nuclear knowledge. Minister of Education Paudel also spoke at the 66th IEA General Assembly on the same day. He said in his speech that Nepal is committed to using nuclear weapons peacefully because it is a signatory to international nuclear disarmament treaties or conventions. In addition, he provided an overview of Nepal’s nuclear science and technology policy initiatives.

Minister Paudel also attended RC A’s 50th-anniversary celebration on the same day. Minister Paudel added that IAEA and RCA’s collaboration is critical in the growth of nuclear science and technology in Nepal on the same occasion. He added that via a variety of technical collaboration initiatives and RC initiatives, Nepal is continuously improving its nuclear science capacity and peaceful use.
