Maoist Center Calls government to address demands of teachers, doctors

The ruling Maoist Center party has urged the government to address the demands of teachers and doctors through dialogue.

The party made the decision in a meeting of its office-bearers held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Acting Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

The meeting discussed the dissatisfaction expressed by relief quota teachers over the School Education Bill registered at the Federal Parliament. The meeting decided that the government should address the genuine demands of these teachers through dialogue.

Maoist Center Demands:

The meeting discussed the demands raised by doctors and health workers, who have been protesting against assaults and misbehavior by the relatives of patients. The meeting urged the government to address these demands as well.

The meeting also expressed concerns over the activities spoiling the social harmony in different parts of the country and has called on all to support the government’s anti-corruption and good governance campaign.
