Introduction:
A Pakistan-Nepal friendship festival was held in Bhaktapur on Saturday to mark the 76th Independence Day of Pakistan.
The event was organized by the Centre for Asian Studies and Mahakali Dance Council in collaboration with the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu.
More than 700 students from 30 schools of Bhaktapur participated in the festival, which included essay writing, handwriting, painting, and cultural dance competitions.
The closing ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Charge d’ Affaires Umair Ali and Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music & Drama, Nisha Sharma Pokharel.
The guests praised the strong relations between Nepal and Pakistan and said that such events would help to further strengthen the people-to-people ties between the two countries.
