EDUCATION NEWS IN NEPAL

Representatives from 25 Canadian universities and colleges will be visiting Kathmandu, Nepal, on November 27th and 28th, 2023, to show education opportunities for Nepalese students. The event, known as the EduCanada delegation, will provide a platform for students and parents to learn more about the Canadian education system, explore various courses and programs, and gain insights into student life in Canada.

Open Seminar and School Visits:

A ‘Study in Canada’ seminar will be held on November 27th from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hyatt Place, Tahachal, Kathmandu. This open seminar will provide detailed information about studying in Canada, including application procedures, visa requirements, and financial aid options. Additionally, representatives from participating universities and colleges will be available to answer questions and provide personalized guidance.

The delegation will also visit various schools and colleges in Kathmandu to conduct seminars and engage with potential students. These sessions will offer a closer look at specific programs and provide opportunities for direct interaction with Canadian education representatives.

Engagement with Education Stakeholders:

The EduCanada delegation will also host roundtable discussions with education consultants and meet with government officials and academic institutions to foster further collaboration and explore places for expanding educational partnerships between Canada and Nepal.

The Canadian education delegation offers a distinct chance for Nepalese students, education consultants, school/college principals, and other important stakeholders to engage with representatives from Canadian educational institutions and the trade officer overseeing education partnerships between Canada and Nepal. This visit also provides an opportunity to acquire information about studying and residing in Canada, student visas, the Canadian business landscape, and potential opportunities for students after they graduate.

Expressing his thoughts about the education delegation to Nepal, H.E. Cameron MacKay, Ambassador for Canada to Nepal, stated: “Canada is delighted to present the second EduCanada delegation to Nepal. Canada’s internationally recognized educational institutions foster a culture of experiential learning, strong entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge research, development, and innovation. I encourage students from Nepal to make the most of this visit and understand the advantages of studying in Canada and the opportunities it can open up for them.”
