Tribhuvan University has decided to not grant two days’ leave. The university will not grant holidays on Sunday as per directed by the government.
TU Information and Public Relations Division, Kritipur issued a notice regarding the public holiday on Sunday. The notice reads that the university will continue the classes and services on Sunday until another notice. Tribhuvan University will continue its regular classes on Sunday despite the government’s decision to grant leave on Saturday and Sunday.
TU clarifies that the classes will be conducted on Sundays as the Academic Calendar has already been running late due to Covid, the classes and the examination schedule have already been set and the curriculum has also been made. Considering these factors, the university will be continuing the classes and other facilities regularly until another notice.
The government had recently directed grant two days of leave (Saturday and Sunday) from 1 Jestha 2079.
